"BUMBLE, GRUMPKIN & THE LEGLESS WELLIE"

When Bumble the pint-size badger runs out of fuel for the fire, he decides to go out and borrow some wood from his neighbour. So, after tipping Mr. Black's Wellington boot off the kitchen doorstep and then sliding inside, he pushes it towards the shed, intending to use it as a shopping cart to get the cargo back home. But instead of that, he takes a wrong turn and boots Grumpkin the rat head-first into the goldfish pond! Meanwhile, Mr. Black looks out of his window on this fateful morning in spring and sees what appears to be a legless wellie moving slowly across the lawn by its own power. The furious man promptly shoots out of the house, determined to catch and destroy the unlawful occupant of his left boot. However, things begin heating up when he and his notorious cat both start chasing the same prey - only to find there is a third and much scarier predator hot on the heels of all of them!

Part One

In the beginning, the great bah-boom of the Big Bang created twin forms of present time - Inter Time and Common Time - which both play out in exactly the same space, each as invisible to the other as tomorrow is to today. Thus the teenagers Bianca Blanche and Bruno Black unknowingly live their lives in the same house, one in each time zone. Their two worlds are forever kept apart by the smallest fraction of a second that even science can't measure. Yet despite this, every so often someone transitions from one to the other, and that's when the trouble starts. So it is, that late one night Bianca opens her eyes to find that the furniture in her room has been mysteriously changed, and a strange boy is looming in front of her wielding a cricket bat. But who is the real intruder here - the boy, or Bianca herself?

When thirteen-year-old Bianca finds herself lost in a parallel form of present time, her new friend Bruno secretly takes her to stay in his grandfather's caravan till she's able to go home. Here, deep in the rolling hills of Wales, the air rings with birdsong, and in the warm spring sunshine all seems blissfully calm and safe. Thus it is, that without thinking twice, the young girl ventures out into the countryside to forage for food. Yet it's not long before she begins to hear disembodied voices whispering around her, even though nobody else is there. Then in a flash, a cold, ghostly hand brushes her face - and the fear within is telling her something's very wrong! Seized by panic, Bianca rushes madly back to the caravan and locks herself inside. But was it just her imagination in overdrive, or are dark and sinister beings really hunting her down?

The dragon Haylel, Lord of the Fiery Lake, grants the gift of transmutation to his spirit slaves (who are the Seven Deadly Serpents of the Lake). He then sends them off to Planet Earth to seek and destroy the Miraculous Medal and everyone who knows its healing powers. As a result, it's not long before Bianca, Bruno, Bumble and Grumpkin find themselves fighting for their lives against a formidable foe - only to face the frightening fact that not all of them may survive the ordeal...

Each one of the Deadly Serpents of the Lake is determined to outcompete the others and become their master's Chosen Servant. With this aim, the seven individuals redouble their efforts to obey his command: namely, to seize the Miraculous Medal and annihilate all who are aware of its powers. But there's a problem. Their arch enemy, the Great White Stallion, has just returned to Earth with a single purpose: to thwart their plans and save Bianca, Bruno, Bumble and Grumpkin from the demonic Haylel, who is Lord of the Fiery Lake. And so now, indeed, the battle lines have been drawn - yet it's far from certain how this will end...

Teenager Bruno Black has just transitioned from Common Time to Inter Time. Now he finds himself in the deceptively familiar surroundings of a world that isn't his. And it's no coincidence that not many weeks ago, Bianca (the young girl who has captured his heart) made her transition into Common Time and then back to Inter Time again. But ever since it emerged that the pair are related, the boy has been doing all in his power to forget her and move on. Yet despite this, when the Seven Deadly Serpents of the Lake orchestrate the two terrible accidents that are meant to kill her, he immediately rushes to the hospital to be by her side... only to arrive at the very moment when everything changes.
